12/23/2023 0 Comments Backblaze redditAs soon as I can confirm that Backblaze has my data, I can cancel Carbonite. The timing is perfect because my Carbonite subscription renews in 9 days. I've encrypted my backup, and setup 2FA with no fallback to SMS. I also really like how much more secure Backblaze is. Dropbox is a storage service that is 100x more expensive than regular usb drive. Backblaze personal service relies on the fact that drives are connected and can die so they give you minimum of 30 days to retrieve your dead drive's data. About 90gb uploaded overnight, and I'm optimistic that Backblaze will be done in a few days. Backblaze is a backup service, not a storage service. It's 2022 and your backup client can't restore a simple file that it backed up. You need to call the phone number on the back of your card and talk to member services to see why they are blocking the charge. A community for Backblaze fans, with special appearances by Backblaze people On our astonishingly easy storage cloud, you can enjoy S3-compatible B2 Cloud Storage at 1/5 the price and Computer Backup for 9/month. I had an issue with Backblaze in the distant past which caused me to find CrashPlan. the first was stressful but everything went fine, which was a huge relief. I've had two successful restores after hard drives died. I was happy with Crashplan back in the day, and when they sold/switched me to Carbonite, I didn't particularly mind.
